– thank you cards –

i had a fun time making thank you notes this weekend and finally finished up writing the last of them from all of our awesome baby showers. the new work room set-up is GREAT! next project: felt mobile for nursery…

– nursery transformation: week thirteen –

we are almost done with the nursery, as the baby could arrive anyday now… gub is 38 weeks along, so just two weeks away from our due date. we are adding some final touches to the nursery…

gub made some paper garland using red and white baker’s twine and two different sized circular die cutters. it turned out super cute! she might make more to hang from the wall shelves.

we also hung up some more artwork, including a little grouping near the file cabinet corner: one of our vintage paint by numbers, a lisa congdon collage and a few other fun pieces. we put up a couple of little gocco screen prints by matte stephens as well.

have you noticed the coca-cola building near georgia tech is completely covered in some sort of white fabric? what’s the deal?

– looking up –

sometimes you can find great views by just looking straight up!

– hyatt regency –

i found myself on another work project at the hyatt regency in downtown atlanta and was once again impressed with the architecture of john portman. the open design of this hotels interior and its elevator system is quite amazing, especially knowing it’s open for over 44 years. the hotel also offers some great views of the downtown skyline.

if you’ve never explored any of john portman’s buildings in atlanta, you really should; they are all truly breathtaking! we are fortunate to have so many of his designs in our downtown. be sure to check out our previous posts on his suntrust building, americasmart and connecting hallways.

atlanta is often overlooked for its architecture, but it really does have a ton of beautiful buildings!

– nursery transformation: week twelve –

the little one is coming soon…. less than three weeks to go, so we washed all of our baby clothing and bedding this week! in doing so, we were also able to see what we have and what we still need for clothing. she will be a well-dressed little newborn!

we also hung our baby bath in the back of the shower. we are running out of space and needed a spot for it.

happy nesting!!!
