check out this great wood design! it’s outside the entrance to superica from inside the krog street market. it looks like the restaurant was designed by the same people behind the optimist.

the food at superica is also really awesome, check out their menu. they have an avocado salsa verde, which could be the best salsa i’ve tasted. they also have these puffy tacos that were extremely tasty and unlike any tacos i’ve had before!!! the chef is ford fry, who also runs the optimist, No 246 and king and duke.

a buddy recently gave me a bottle of templeton rye. it’s a very tasty rye whiskey that comes in a class bottle you’ll want to keep on the front of your bar! the design is not quite as cool as 13th colony bottle design, but it’s on par.

legend has it, templeton rye was al capone’s drink of choice and popular at speakeasies during prohibition. although the legitimacy of their story has recently been called into question. besides all of that, the rye was very smooth and enjoyable. it has a dark amber color and a good bit of spiciness.

the only drawback to templeton is it’s only 80 proof, which is similar to a vodka. i’ve gotten used to drinking 100 proof rittenhouse and 92 proof redemption, so 80 proof doesn’t quite pack the punch in an old fashioned for me. it does make it smooth and easier to drink on the rocks though, so if that’s your thing you’ll totally love it.

the other drawback it it’s price. templeton is a good $10-$15 more per bottle than rittenhouse, redemption and bulleit. with that being said, i don’t know if i will restock when the bottle runs out.

we visited the baps shiri swaminarayan temple mandir on our day off for milk day. we had only driven by before, but never gone inside, so we were quite impressed to see the beautiful building up close. it’s hard to believe such a temple is found right in the middle of suburban atlanta, in fact you see a shopping center across the street if you turn around. it took 17 months to build with 1.3 million volunteer hours involved, most from hand carved stone. the intricate stone work found throughout the outside and inside of the building was gorgeous.

the interior was just as impressive as the outside, although they don’t allow any photos. you’ll have to take our word and just visit sometime! it’s highly recommended.

besides checking out the temple, you can also get some delicious indian food while visiting!

as a class project in clementine and grey’s classes, we had the kids put their fingerprint in some clay and made christmas tree ornaments! clementine’s class also made self portraits to give their parents as well. here are the goodies all wrapped up.

as part of intuition ale works 4th anniversary, they are pairing with moxie kitchen + cocktails for an evening of brunch for dinner! it’s actually a dual anniversary celebration, as moxie is turning one the same week. the evening will feature pairings of brunch-themed beers with brunch beers. sounds delicious!

to help promote the event, i created the above design. it’s sort of a connect 4 idea, with both companies connecting (or pairing) in the middle. check out our previous post for intuition ale works full list of anniversary activities!

we designed the logo for intuition ale works 4th anniversary! to celebrate 4 years of brewing delicious beer, they are hosting various events around jacksonville, florida the week of november 17th. check out the full list of activities below.

intuition is printing koozies with the design and will also have shirts available at their anniversary block party on november 22nd. fretto prints will be on hand printing shirts per order, which is pretty cool! that means you get to pick the shirt color and they screen print the design right there on the spot. great idea!
